WE ARE ON STRIKE
Check your picket assignments. Picketing begins at midnight
Brothers and Sisters, we finished negotiations after 1AM last night. The company failed on wage security and retirement security, and they offered nothing to improve our job security. Your committee voted unanimously to reject the contract, and we will explain the Last, Best and Final offer on Sunday. Thank you all for rallying the shop. We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Your negotiating committee will be walking around the Oakdale prior to doors closing for the Ratification meeting to talk to you and answer questions. - April 8, 2025 – Wednesday is the next scheduled negotiations with the company. Please wear your new 2025 contract T-shirts to work on Wednesday in solidarity with your negotiation team.
- April 4, 2025 – Strike Sanction Vote Results
We had an overwhelming turnout from both locals today. 99% of those members voting have authorized a potential strike action against the company in the event that we fail to reach an acceptable contract offer from Pratt and Whitney by May 4th, 2025. Thank you everyone for taking the time to come out and vote! It was an incredible display of unity, and your negotiating committee is now more energized to bring back a strong contract that addresses wage security, retirement security, and job security!!
- Negotiation Update – April 2, 2025 – Text Update
April 2, 2025 – Opening Day:
Today, your union opened negotiations with Pratt & Whitney. Eastern Territory GVP Dave Sullivan and District 26 DBR Jeff Santini stressed to the company that we are determined to address our members’ needs for wage security, retirement security, and job security. These points were driven home throughout today’s session.
Opening day went late into the afternoon. The union presented all our proposals, including wages, pensions for all, and our demand for critical job security improvements.
The company indicated they will respond to our proposals next Wednesday (April 9, 2025).
